Fart Together System Requirements: Can Your PC Run It?

Minimum and recommended specs for Fart Together, what the GTX 1050 Ti floor means for a party game, and why your connection matters more than your GPU.

Terakhir diperbarui:

Fart Together asks for a GTX 1050 Ti at minimum — which is a lot for a game about steering a raft with farts. That number is real, and it tells you something about how the game is built. Here are the full specs, then what they actually mean for your machine.

The short answer by hardware

Your setupVerdict
Laptop with integrated graphics (Iris Xe, Vega 8)Probably not. No integrated GPU is listed, and the floor is a discrete card
Desktop with GTX 1050 Ti / RX 560Minimum. Playable, expect to drop settings in four-player chaos
GTX 1660 / RX 590 or newerRecommended. This is the target the game was tuned for
Anything with 8 GB RAM or less8 GB is the floor. Windows alone eats 3–4 GB, so close everything else
On Wi-FiWorks, but this is the real bottleneck. See below

Two things worth noticing in that table.

Storage is 4 GB for both tiers. The recommended build does not need more disk than the minimum. That is unusual, and it tells you the difference between the two tiers is almost entirely about how much the game has to compute per frame — not about higher-resolution assets being loaded.

Network is listed as a requirement, not a recommendation. Most store pages treat the network line as boilerplate. Here it is load-bearing: the raft is simulated across every player's inputs, so the game assumes a live connection even though it runs on one machine.

Why a party game wants a 1050 Ti

The obvious guess is bad optimization. The more likely explanation is the physics.

Every player's fart applies a force to the same object, and the raft's response has to be identical on all four screens or the game breaks — one player sees the raft drift left while another sees it drift right, and the run becomes unplayable. Keeping a shared rigid-body simulation in sync across four clients costs CPU and a surprising amount of GPU for collision and rendering.

That is also why the recommended tier jumps a full GPU generation (1050 Ti → 1660) while only adding 8 GB of RAM. The load is parallel work per frame, not memory.

Practical takeaway: if you are choosing between upgrading RAM and upgrading the GPU for this game, the GPU matters more. 8 GB with a 1660 will feel better than 16 GB with a 1050 Ti.

The bottleneck nobody lists: your upload

Fart Together does not have a single-player mode that matters — the whole point is 2–4 players on one raft. So the honest question is not "can my PC run it" but "can my connection hold four players in sync".

Two things follow from that:

  • Wi-Fi is the usual culprit. A stable 20 Mbps wired connection beats a flaky 200 Mbps Wi-Fi link for this kind of game, because what matters is jitter, not bandwidth
  • The person with the worst connection drags the raft. If one player's inputs arrive late, everyone feels it — the raft lurches for all four. This is different from a shooter, where lag mostly hurts the laggy player

If you have already played and something felt wrong, that is a different problem — see why the raft keeps spinning and friends can't join.

Windows only, and that is not a temporary gap

The store lists Windows as the only platform. macOS and Linux are both marked unsupported, and no console version has been announced. If you are on a Mac, there is no workaround short of a Windows partition — see the PS5 status page for what has and has not been said about other platforms.

Frequently asked questions

Can I run Fart Together on integrated graphics?

Not officially. No integrated GPU appears anywhere in the requirements, and the minimum is a discrete GTX 1050 Ti. An Iris Xe or Vega 8 machine may launch the game, but you should not buy or plan around it.

Is 8 GB of RAM enough?

It is the stated minimum, which means it is enough with nothing else running. Windows 10/11 idles at roughly 3–4 GB, and a browser with a few tabs takes another 1–2 GB. For a four-player session with Discord open, 16 GB is the realistic comfort line.

How much disk space does it need?

4 GB, for both the minimum and recommended tiers. That is small enough that storage is unlikely to be your limiting factor.

Does it need an SSD?

Not stated. Given the 4 GB footprint and the fact that levels are short obstacle courses rather than open streaming worlds, an SSD is unlikely to change much. Nothing in the requirements asks for one.

Will it run on a Steam Deck?

Unverified. The Deck's GPU sits roughly in the GTX 1050 Ti class, so the raw specs are close to the floor — but Proton compatibility and control layout have not been confirmed, and this page will not guess. The Steam page covers what is confirmed about the store listing.

When can I actually play it?

October 29, 2026, as a free Early Access release. Details are on the release date page.
